Boiler faults we repair
Most calls fall into a familiar set of faults. Whatever your boiler is doing, describing the symptoms over the phone helps us arrive with the right parts.

How we diagnose a boiler fault
A reliable repair starts with a proper diagnosis rather than guesswork. We check the fault code history, gas and electrical supply, water pressure, flow and return temperatures, and the condition of key components such as the pump, diverter valve, expansion vessel and heat exchanger.
Once we know what has failed, we tell you what the repair involves, whether the part is available, and what it will cost before we start.
Our repair process
- Call us and describe the symptoms, including any error code showing
- We agree an appointment time that suits you
- The engineer diagnoses the fault and explains the findings
- You approve the repair before any work begins
- We complete the repair, test the system and leave the area clean
- We advise on anything to keep an eye on, including servicing
When a boiler may be better replaced
Repair is usually the right answer, but not always. If a boiler is old, spare parts are obsolete, the heat exchanger has failed, or repeated faults are stacking up, replacement can be the more sensible option.
We will give you an honest view either way. If a repair will get you several more reliable years, we will say so. If the cost of the repair is difficult to justify, we will explain why and talk you through a
